Mardoude did not say anywhere that he wouldn't duo queue - however I am certain that the duo queue is responsible for lower LP gains as I had just previously won a game and gained +17.

By duo queueing with a lower ranked player, it lowers the overall MMR of the match. It seems obvious that a d5 player would gain less lp from winning platinum 1 match than winning a d5 match.

Finally my last point still stands from the other thread : I think it's unfair to arbitrarily set a price that my $35 would go towards 50lp (49 actually) when I had wanted 60. For a 1lp gain difference (as the booster states my average lp gain is 15, and if I had +16 gains then I would qualify for the $35 price for 60lp), proportionally the +15lp/+16lp difference should mean that I qualify for 56lp. I don't see where the seemingly random 49lp stop came from.
I would have much preferred to pay 1 net win and finish up the boost with another booster (for example Radeon) who at the time was offering a price of $70 from d5 to d4 regardless of lp gains (barring anything extreme). It's unreasonable to automatically assume that I would want to accept the offer of $35 for 49lp without even consulting me first, when it was known right from the first win of the boost that my lp gains were supposedly too low.

Would you be fine wit Mardoude providing one more win on your account?

Yes I would be okay with one net win, but that's not fair to him because my account is now in diamond 4 (got someone else to finish it up).

I think a partial refund isn't too unreasonable to ask - completing 49lp instead of 60lp is only a $6.50 difference if my calculations are correct. Considering this is much less of a price than 1 net win in D5, it's the best solution I can think of.

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I'll pass this on to another mod, and hopefully everything is sorted soon.

I think a refund is the best solution here.

How much do you think the partial refund should be, and what do you base that off of?

I'd like the partial refund to be $13. Let me explain my logic.

I paid $35 for 60lp thinking that later I'd be paying another $35 to d4, finishing the boost (a total of $70).

However, getting me to only 49lp, the cost of finishing up a 49lp to d4 boost was $48 from Mardoude (Other sellers who also offered $70 for the entire division, like Radeon, give a price of $55 for the 49lp to d4 boost). I have the screenshot here as proof in case you would like to see, but I'm sure he can confirm as well that he told me $48 would be the price for 49lp to d4.
Basically, the point is that it is cheaper to buy a boost in bulk than in small chunks (as with most things), and stopping my boost halfway without telling me negated my ability to do so.
I ended up getting the boost finished up by Radeon. However, since I could have gotten it finished by Mardoude, I use $48 here for argument's sake.
As I could have gotten a full, 1 division boost for $70 from Radeon at the time (he recently raised his prices, but if you just look at the past edit of his thread/ask him personally, I'm sure you will see/he will tell you that the previous price for D5 to D4 was $70), instead I "paid" $83 to complete the division (again, I actually paid $90 but for the sake of respecting the offer that Mardoude gave me I use the number here as $83), due to negligence on Mardoude's part to tell me that I was getting low LP gains right from the first win on the account, no way my fault that he didn't tell me and I was forced to use his services to 49lp.

So that's the reasoning behind my price - mods, where do you stand on this?

He only needs to pay you for what he did not complete.

    35/60 = 0.5833333333

    49-60 = 11

    0.5833333333 x 11 = 6.4166666663

I'll make it $6.50 for the trouble.
He will need to refund you $6.50 for not completing the service.
