I'm looking to buy a laptop for college next year. I have around $1000 - $1500 to spend (would like to keep more towards $1000). Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I was think i5 because I know i7's run hot and drain battery quickly. I'm also up for AMD processors if it saves money and is on par with performance.

Thanks in advance for the help

The starting price is 1200$ but you can still add some things like a better graphics card if you want. I picked that one because it has the processor you were looking for and I have used Dell for quite a few years now and they haven't let me down. They are good with customer support and their computers are sturdy. If you pick this option then I'm glad I could have helped. :)
