    Laptop crashing, disk issues?

Often, my moms laptop will crash soon as I open google chrome + say runescape for example.

The screen will freeze for about 2-3 seconds and go blue. Says disk crashed. There's more too it, but I get so mad I don't bother looking at everything, then the laptop restarts. It sometimes does it back to back, or even 3 times in a row if I'm unlucky.

Any ideas why? It's a toshiba laptop

hmm, not helping much by not specifying what else it says, but i think what you could do is run a disk check, and a windows system check. go to cmd when you turn the laptop on, and run a disk check. to do that, type
    chkdsk /f C:
that will check and fix errors on the disk. if that doesnt work, you can try a windows system check, not sure if itll work though, but the command for that is
    sfc /scannow
    try em, maybe itll help
