    About a trade I've made

I sold a World of Warcraft account, or attempted to, for 300$ today.
A French person who contacted me apparently, sent the funds as gift, only paid 268 out of the 300$, then told me it was sent as a gift, and now there's no way, via paypal, to ensure he did send it as a gift.

Where should I go from here.
IF he's telling me he can call paypal and reclaim the funds, should I bother giving him the virtual goods, or just wait for him to recover his money and wait for another buyer?
    Thoughts?.

From what I've been told, gift was the safest way to ensure he couldn't recover the funds.

He can still recover it with sending as a gift.

If you only got 268 out of it, it was not sent as a gift. When it is sent as a gift, no money will be taken by paypal.

If you've sent Paypal in the last month, the gift option takes 1% of the total money sent so the fee would have been $3.

However, if the other person sends the money as a payment, the seller ALWAYS pays the fee. If it's sent via gift, the buyer may choose who pays.
