Since they are putting out that new slayer dungeon soon, and the new boss, quest, etc., they have to pump the code in sometime.
The game doesn't just update in a flash on update night, after the countdown

But, yes it is annoying. I have been doing dung and the past few nights the lag has made it more horrible than it already is.
