Explanation of the trade: 50m 07 for $39.50 BTC, I would go first following PM confirmation.
Amount scammed:50m
How they scammed: Pretty obvious guy made another account with fake alphabet. I pasted the characters into translate and it said english and I assumed they were simply a different font. I then asked for a PM confirmation with a special 6 digit code, so ONLY the user messaging me on discord would know this, imposter or not. I got a PM from the correct account with the code, traded the 50m and he proceeded to ask for more GP, at which point i knew it was a scam attempt.

Here I ask for the $39.50 amount before he would like the next 15m, as we only agreed upon 50m.

It is obvious the only way the 'imposter' would know the pm code with a matching subject line is unless it was the same person. Please do not let him get away with this on less intelligent people who have no idea what happened. Im sure he will try to claim whatever he can that the pm is irrelevant, even though it is the sole proof in this entire thing.

 

Anyway i can get in touch with a sythe mod to show my evidence of how this guy is falsely accusing me of scamming. This is a joke lol.

 

Anyway you could stop being an asshole when clearly you fell for the imposter which resulted in me being scammed?

I clearly did not scam. But I would like to know what your conversation with bigolmiilk was. Because that is the discord involved with all of this. I just don't appreciate your title on this post. We both know it wasn't me and I am suspicious due to the fact you added me on Villa but never messaged me.

 

At the time of posting this thread I was under the influence you scammed 50m... I believed that the only way you could have pmed me the code is if the scammer impersonated myself aswell, and simply need confirmation that it was indeed an imposter and not you creating another acc....

 

Okay so i never meant to be rude. I just hate being labeled a scammer. It was not me and I have proof due to chats with bigolmiilk.

bigolmiilk simply talked to me yesterday and we did not conduct any transaction, today he mentioned his buddy (impostering you i assume) would add me some time interested in GP.

 

Here you can see he sends me the code. Well earlier than when Plateddesigns received it.

I did make a mistake with the pm and i know that. Plateddesigns whats your discord.. I'll fix this and learn my lesson about pms lol

This is a man-in-the middle-scam. Another user was impersonating @BSwap with Discord Nitro in order to get you to think you were speaking with him. When he got you to ask for a confirmation number, he sent the real @BSwap the code you sent him.

This can all be avoided if you request a confirmation PM with the template we provide: Discord PM Template, using a confirmation 'number' is a very poor way to confirm who you are speaking with.

As such, @BSwap has been given a TWC a poor PM that ultimately led to @plateddesigns getting scammed. You should know that sending a message like this is almost always helping an impostor scam. You can request its removal in 30 days here: Dispute a Ban or TWC.

Edit: TWC has been removed as @BSwap has offered to cover for the scam that occurred.
