What's been the best movie that you've seen this year?

It doesn't have to be in cinema or released this year. You just have to have seen it. I've downloaded a lot of movies this year & I really enjoyed a movie called "City Of God" which had english subs. What has been the best movie you've seen?

 

Wow, before I opened it I thought City of God xD

 

As if. It's not really a movie I'd have thought many on sythe would know about..

 

Yeah I didn't know about it either until a friend of mine told me about it. I recommend it to anyone, but you just need to get used to the subtitles

 

The hangover.

 

Transformers 2.

 

what jcash said. the hangover was without a doubt the best movie of the year and the funniest movie i've ever seen.

 

I hated most of the movies that came out this year. They were overhyped like fuck and there was no real story to them. (see Transformers 2, personally I've always hated Transformers, but that movie was shit on a scale from shit to shit).

My favourite remains Ghost in the Shell, which came out in 1995.

 

I really enjoyed the movie Law Abiding Citizen, reminded me of saw a little bit.

 

I have so many to list. I thought the best ones were: The hangover, Year one, Transformers 2, And harry potter. I saw twilight like 3 weeks ago. It was the worst movie I've ever seen. I somewhat enjoyed the first one, but, the second had no plot whatsoever. I was disappointed.

 

I didn't like many of the ones that came out this year... Like Twlight.

 

La Haine. Watched it as a recommendation, and wow.

 

Law Abiding Citizen. I definitely would recommend seeing it.

 

Taken, was just the best movie ever.

 

Transformers 2, I watched it twice. Not the best, but the best this year.

I saw a movie from '08 called "felon" one of my favorites I highly recommend.

Worst movies I've seen this year would have to be Paranormal Activity (waste of 2 hours of my life, SO boring) Orphan (stupidest. twist. ever.) and Jennifer's Body.

 

I don't really watch movies that much, however a few months ago I watched sex drive (unrated version) and it was probably the best movie I have ever seen.
