I need a new MMO.

So I'm stuck. I need a game that can keep my interest for awhile.

I played RS back in the day. I liked it, and RS 2007 seems interesting but it's so damn old. I'm looking for a "new" feel, you know? Something graphically pleasing with evolutionary controls.

I don't want some "indie-mmo." I tried TERA online and not enough people played it to make it worth my time. I like a good community but not one that I should have to worry about the game makers being able to afford the servers.

No "freemium" bullshit. I will pay for a one-time and/or monthly sub. I cannot stand games with pay to win features.

I like the classic sword and shield aspects. MMORPG's are my favorite. I don't mind other types of combat, but that's what comes to mind.

Games I've tried:
Soo many, I'll list a few and recents.

CSS/TF2/etc. I can't stay into these. I need the levelling aspect. I do play them often, though.

Minecraft - not enough combat orientation.

Skyrim - Needs online capability. I'm excited for the release of the MMO, but who knows when that will be? I have been planning on waiting for this, and I may yet, but reviews have shown it to not be the "WoW-killer" that most were hoping on.

EVE online - I can't stand the combat. It is a wonderful idea. Everything is set up perfectly, but I just find it stupid as hell. Lock on. Fire. Gaaaaaaay.

WoW - Of course, a terrible game. Made to buy, nothing else. Stagnant storyline. Easy to win. I may try this again, but ehh.

DCUO - I played for awhile before I left for BCT. It's an alright game, I loved endgame features but I feel as if this was dying very quickly.

CrimeCraft - Great game, dead as fuck.

LoL - no real levelling feature. I need to feel competitive.

Starcraft II - tired of it, places sc1 and scII original release too much.

Diablo III - lol.



I've been thinking about taking a look at SWTOR, it doesn't look terrible.

Planetside 2, Path of Exile.

 

Which do you prefer?

 

It really depends on what you prefer more, planetside 2 is a shooter MMO while Path of Exile is a free game similar to diablo. Neither of them are my type of game, I like FPS & Moba games (League of Legends, DotA 1). I have to say, I enjoyed Path of Exile more though as it has a ton of stuff to do.

 

I may give planetside a try. I watched nano play PoE and it's a complete rip off of diablo, so I won't go anywhere near it because that's a faggot buisness aspect.

 

Its what diablo 3 should have been.
