This isn't new, it was copy and pasted over from the rules that have been posted for 4 years.

Hopefully it's removed soon, it doesn't make sense. But standardizing how we're going to moderate the spam forum with the opinions of 15 different people is hard.

Simple solution: don't have 15 mods for the spam forum

I say we bring Vin Deisel or Masterchief back and give them the only SF moderating privileges.

what? Just because not all 15 moderators have permissions in the spam forum doesn't mean they don't get a say in how it should be moderated. Just as all fundamental changes to the market will be debated by ALL staff, not just market mods... Hell, even users are getting their say in how the spam forum is handled. If they hadn't started their little hissy fits about getting infracted or threads being locked, we would never have had this dilemma and the spam forum would have continued on has it had for 7 years.


EDIT: as SuF pointed out, it's not possible to reduce the number of mods with permissions in the spam forum (unless we fired some, which definitely won't happen). I estimated the number 15 to be our total staff capacity, so then to be more accurate, 20+ people are putting in their opinions. Case and point, it's difficult to make everyone happy.

 

That's unfortunate.
