The Hangover 3

The Hollywood Reporter says that Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms are negotiating together to get $15 million each (against backend) to make The Hangover Part III. The trade adds that they are likely to get it with dealmaking wrapping up.

According to them, the three stars made under $1 million each for the first film, which grossed a massive $467 million worldwide. They then received around $5 million each for the sequel, which then grossed another $581 million worldwide. So, provided the third film is as successful, Warner Bros. should easily be able to recoup the money spent on the actors.

The studio is hoping to start filming the third installment, set in Los Angeles, this summer with Todd Phillips again directing for a Memorial Day 2013 release.


Thoughts?

 

They really should just stop now if they don't at least change it up some. I enjoyed the first one a lot, but I was very disappointed with the second. I thought it was way too similar to the first and really wasn't that funny. I'm sure the third will probably be the same way. Who knows though, they might decide to be creative this time. Hangover 2 was the only movie all year that I spent money on to see in theatres and I was actually glad when it was over. I'll make sure to read rewiews next time before spending $20 on 2 tickets instead of just waiting for it to come out on DVD like I normally do.

 

The second hang over was too similar to the first but it was a decent watch. I really hope they change it up in the third one.

Wow im surprised at the pay for the first film

 

I honestly did not expect a third sequel as there's not much diversity to the whole movie, it simply follows on the same storyline.

Although I love both movies (The Hangover and The Hangover 2), I don't think the third one will be much different to the first two.

However if a third does come out, of course I'm gonna watch it.

 

Eh i wouldn't mind another one with a similar plot, enjoyed the first two anyway

 

I hope it'll be a good movie, as the previous ones, and wont be ruined /:

 

I like the way their fees have gone up.

 

First one was good the 2nd one wasn't too good so I hope to see what 3 would be like hope it's not a disapointment like 2 was.

 

I would love to see this next new Hangover. As long as Chow is on it it'll be great can't wait to see this next movie if it gets started up.

 

It's still funny despite the similar plots. I'll still be watching it when it comes out.

 

I hope they switch it up this time, don't get me wrong - I like the hangover, but If they just keep making movies with the exact same plot, people will get upset.

I reeeeally hope they try something new with this one. Obviously it won't live up to the first one, but it better not be the exact same storyline...Would also be cool to see someone new join!

My Uncle is the head Stuntman and he got payed 135k Each film, he said that most of the actors got paid less then him.

 

That's really cool! By most of the actors, he isn't including the main characters right?

 

hangover 2 was dissapointment. Pretty much same as hangover 1, just different locations and characters. Hope hangover 3will be better.

 

Sequels are never good. I didn't think the second was half as good as the first, so I think if a third is gonna be made it isn't gonna be great. Plus, note how the actors are demanding more money - they don't particularly want to do it, they just want the cash. I don't think it'll be a committed piece of work.

 

I'm lookin forward to this movie, I really like the first and the second, too
I'm hoping they won't ruin the 3rd one, either
