RaSc Sticky Overhaul

The change is long overdue.

I looked through all of the threads that were linked and condensed/removed irrelevant/redundant information, view my thread http://www.sythe.org/community-input/1642475-how-report-scammer.html. I've also edited the templates and removed the useless ones. If anyone's got a minute, please feel free to add on by posting here - what other information do you all think is necessary to be placed in the thread? Take note that we want it as condensed/straight forward as possible.

Proposal

We should have 3 stickies in the Report a Scammer section.

My input on this:

1. Condense the Skype Stickies into one and show exactly what is needed for a report. The difference between adequate proof and proof that we cannot accept.

2. Merge all of the other threads together in a stylized way so that it is an easier read. I have never understood why we have so many stickies revolving around the same issue.

The two stickies that you mentioned above work well as they are straight and to the point.

 

Exactly, There are too many stickies/threads that could just be put into one big thread covering the whole area.

The third possible sticky would simply be titled "Use www.imgur.com to upload your screenshots" or something like that. Imgur.com is the best for us to use since they don't shrink/delete their images after time has passed.

 

Great proposal. When most people are scammed they dont give a shit about reading SIX stickies, they just want justice served and rush into reporting someone without enough evidence.

Requirement of PM's would be good in the OP as well as the templates​

An Imgur guide or something may be useful.

"Sythe PM picture" is a part of all of the templates I can include that people should get PMs before trading, but that doesn't exactly help them with their scam report. I was going to make an imgur guide for the third sticky, but, it's literally just go to imgur.com, click upload image, and copy paste the link. The website itself is extremely user friendly. I'll still make one though. Thanks for posting.

I can implement this as soon as I get approval from the admins.

 

I'd like to offer my support for this suggestion as well, having 6 stickies is frankly intimidating to new users (and its unlikely that they will bother to read through them all).

Condensing them down is a great idea if it can be done without making the length of the threads too long.
