According to rumours on it, they feature a new ARM chip on the board and will bring an exponential improvement over the 700s. Hopefully they will have an increased amount of VRAM to provide to the card as well.

I have been holding out to purchase one of these to be honest. I just hope NVidia doesn't fuck it up with proprietary softwares that bottleneck it or extremely high temperatures (like the Thermi's... erm Fermi's).

I do not plan on getting an 800 series... I already got a GTX 660 and it runs everything I play on max.

I do plan on getting a Nvidia G-sync monitor maybe next month.

I have a 770, seems they always release a 100x more powerful card within a month...

Either way I think my 770 will do me good for a while.

Not a chance that i'll be buying it on release, looks like they're going to be $1000+ and the 780ti I'm going to be sticking in my rig is going to be more than enough.

edit: of course that depends on the real performance increase, if there is a 50% performance increase I'd really have to consider it, but if its like 10-20% I'll probably pass in favor of the ti.

Doubting the 800 series is being released this month. From what I know only GM107 is ready and that's going in the 750 Ti soon. Going to assume that we won't have the big boy Maxwell's until quarter 4 at least.

Won't be a HUGE difference because they never do that.
They will be too expensive and not worth it to the current games you have on the market.
When new games are launched then maybe :p I have my 780 Overclocked running @ better perfomance than 780 Ti ;)

As we get further and further into the gtx series the difference between them is only going to decrease. Personally im more excited for the 790 than for the 800 series. I really hope they dont change the design all to much. I love the aluminium/industrial look that the 690 and the 700 series have.
