Explanation of the trade: I had purchased an account from TheDang after a long back and forth amongst me and his admins after they tried to sell me the 209$ account for 670M knowing well that gold is way more expensive then that. Finally TheDang stepped in and agreed 550M would be the price of the account.
How they scammed: Just after three days of having it the account is locked and I have no access to it. I would like to think the locked recovery went to the creation email (login one) because it never came to me and now no account is linked to that email. I never was presented a TOS so I'm not sure what grounds I stand on but I was hoping I at least stand for something. Most providers offer some sort of warranty for X amount of days or something along them lines. I literally had the account for three days.

Additional Information: I do not believe @thedang or his group of admins are scammers, i simply think both of us are in a bad situation and just trying to come up with the resolution. since late night 1-30-21 they have known about this & have attempted a recovery for the account. nothing has happened yet & no responses have been given except “this could take more then one try”.

Opening this post just so there is a refence as to what is going on because @thedang has not said anything other then this could take two weeks which in my opinion is a crazy considering response times are no more then 48 hours stated by their website.

@Zora hello and thank you for the response. I brought this to their attention last night and was told that this morning they had started the process EX
as of this morning shortly after that @thedang finally responded to me with PM telling me to recovery it and it can take his group 1-2 weeks EX

 

The account was sold as no email set and i gave him the original recovery info.

We can only make one attempt every 6-24 hours and sometimes have multiple requests so the process can take longer. We have accounts in stock for few months where it doesn't get logged on at all.

I am sorry for the trouble caused but please allow it a bit of time so we can sort it out.

 

Yes, you are correct, the account was unregistered as the SSs had shown. According to the information you have provided me with, the account was created 06/21. Six months ago & the account was a max staker+ DS2 (35+ days ingame time + played) so out of the last 180 days this account has logged 35 days of game time (proof not rested for months as timeframe is impossible)
On that note, what does submitting more then one appeal do? What difference does one rejection VS ten rejections make? Just trying to figure out how long were going to let this charades play out. In the SSs I specifically said that me having the recovery info is useless, I had the account for three days. If you guys are truly the OO of these accounts you sell, it shouldn’t be this difficult to get one back.

Hello again and good afternoon. I just wanted to ask a few questions to the staff here to get a little bit of clarification as to what to expect in the future if the recovery is successful.
As stated in the first post, we never agreed upon a TOS let alone even discussed one. Due to the Changes in Account Sales (highlighted part), would @thedang liable to recover the account for me in the future if this happens again. My reasoning why I ask is because over the last five years of returning to OSRS I have bought close to a handful of accounts. Not once have they ever been locked. Due to this it leaves me at hesitant of leaving value on the account due to the risk of being locked again and losing all value.

Also would like to give a quick update that today is day 3 since they began the recovery attempts & no contact his been made with me pertaining any information since 3:47 PM EST yesterday. @Zora

 

Hello and sorry for posting in here again but I was curious as to a timeframe of how much longer we are going to let this play out. I have had no contact with @thedang since 02-01-21 at 3:47 PM EST in discord. It has now been three+ days since then and he has said anything to me or has even came online.
I feel as if him and his team are blowing this off as if they truly were trying to help me resolve to situation they would be more communicative. Today is the fifth day since recovery start; sixth day since their knowledge of the locked out.
At this point I would like to request a refund for the 209$ so we all can just move forward or at least put a timeframe on this because honestly I feel as if him and his staff do not care about this matter otherwise he wouldn't just leave me with a "I'll keep you updated" and disappear for days.
This also brings me concern to their other potential buyers as they claim are that they are OO but with a fairly fresh account (seven months old now) after three days bought should be an easy recovery attempt for any OO.
