Old School Staking

Just thought some people should know what old school staking was like and actually how intricate the scamming was.

It should answer some questions some of you have pmed me asking about 2007 rs.

That was the best hands down, and i only thought that obstacles helped in mage staking were they couldn't attack you, in that certain corner. Guess i was wrong lol. o.0


Didn't stake to much, then realized what i missed out on when the limits were put in.

 

Nice.

 

Simple as can be to just not use obstacles.

 

I really hope they bring back staking and this belongs in pictures and videos.

 

Is high defence recommended for staking?

For example: 60-99-80?

I completely forgot about the large influx of DDoS attack. People will definitely start DDoSing people during staking now.


Just be careful of who you talk to on MSN/outside of Runescape.

 

Damn this makes me miss staking even more.

at one point the guy calls the other person an x-logger, what is that? yes i played back in these days but I was a f2p noob haha

he didn't scam lol, that guy who lost was probably sore he sucked at obstacles lmfao!

x - logging was a glitch where you could actually logout while you are staking ( im not sure how ). therefore, the stake will count as a draw and you will keep your cash.

people usually xlog in obstacles on when they are losing. some people can also x-log during no movement battles ( no idea how they did it ).

 

I agree he never scammed. + Such small amounts pfft

 

An x-logger is when you literally close the window. It used to end the duel, meaning whenever someone was losing in a high-end stake they would x-log and they wouldn't lose their items. It was essentially a way to only win duels. Then, they patched it, and since it didn't end the duel the guy probably did it out of panic and not having a clue what to do.

Haha the guy distracted him like he did in the first battle and probably turned obstacles on. Then he didn't have a clue what the fuck to do.
