Back to RS.. Thinkin of leveling defence

I have not played runescape in a very long time and have recently started playing a little bit. It has definitely changed A LOT. This account is techinically my main accout. I have tried pking and have gotten my ass kicked because of me not being used to all the new stuff. Staking just seems pointless to me because I always come out negative.

So to get to the point.. my question is that would it be a terrible idea for me to gain attack and defence? I was going to start with 70 att then 70 def and go from there.

Please say suggestions of what you would do in my situation or pking techniques that will make runescape actually fun

oh and i have about 90m on my account
Pretty much all quest done. I have ancient and lunar magic and barrow gloves
only thing i do not have is Cannon

I wouldn't gain defence, as the account value would definitely drop. I'd sit where you're at now, finish up strength & HP, and use your money towards getting 95 prayer for turmoil.

 

Whatever you do, dont train def omfg. id trade my near max account anyday for a zeker pure.

 

Get 99 strength, 99 hp, and 95 prayer. If you have more cash i'd suggest getting 92-96 herb to max it all the way out.

 

should i leave 60 att? or go higher

 

Get tumoil, max ur str, maybe get 80 attack and get a chaotic.

 

It depends on how much more GP you can get.

I'd personally stay at 60 for a while, and possibly get 70/75 later on.

If you see yourself being able to get chaotics, by all means, go for 80.

 

I wouldn't level defence.

 

If you get turmoil, you're going to have to raise your def because I don't think you've completed the necessary quests. It won't be that high, 47,48,49, somewhere around there. But, it won't look as pretty as it was.

I have a very similar account as you, but I ended up getting 70 def. Kind of regret it, but, I enjoy DH pking. Only difference in my stats than yours are 80 att 70 def 70 pray.

However, it's hard competing against zerk pures like yourself if they have turmoil (95 prayer).

 

the only quest i need to get turmoil is going to be missing my mummy, tale of the muspah, curse of arrav, devious minds, and then temple of senntisten.. i've done all the other needed quest and none of those give def exp so id remain 45 defence

 

99 str and hp 95 prayer - sell account

 

keep 45 defence until you want/need to go higher, do Monkey Madness if you haven't then use d scimmy for 99 str + HP. Then slowly you'll know what needs to go up e.g. 70 attack for whip etc.

 

sell it and buy a main

 

60 attack pures are outdated, it's 80 attack nowadays.
