    Galaxy s6 - wireless charging

So I have watched a few reviews on the phone, and am very curious about wireless charging. In one of the videos I watched, they said that the wireless charging isn't the fastest way to charge it (but cmon just setting your phone down and having it charge? how cool is that) and that it also can heat the phone up more due to the wireless charging or whatever.

My question is, does the wireless charging's heat increase damage the phone over time? is it something that you should only be using when you just need a boost or just want to set your phone down on it instead of a table, or should it be used on a frequent basis regardless what you need charged?

I usually would just plug my phone in, but I hate having to drag the chord and stuff while it's still charging, it would be nice to just pick up the phone, respond to a message then set it back down to charge.

tl;dr is wireless charging going to be worth it? and will the heat it generates, hurt the phone in the longrun?

I guess it'll be a nice feature since I know the charging-cords can be quite annoying. However I can not really answer your question just because the phone isn't out yet. We'll have to see when the first people get their hands on the S6. I got a iPhone 6 so I'm not going to get it regardless of the charging.

I'm very excited about the prospect of wireless charging getting to the point of being like wifi.

Imagine everywhere you walk your phone is getting charged.

Even if it's not released I know (after you get some special battery) you can use wireless charing on some phones now so I assume any kind of wireless charging is going to heat up any kind of phone you do it with so I guess it's a more general question, but yeah..

Super stoked to get the phone in October with my upgrade!

Wireless electricity has been around for a very long time. The reason it has not caught on for basically anything is because it is horribly inefficient, like terribly and awfully inefficient.
