My infraction.

Look at EVERY single comment on that thread. My comment is no different. Everybody is saying that the picture looks amazing,cool,sick. How is my comment considered spamming when I am giving my opinion on the picture?

edit: this isn't to dispute the infraction as I have pmed the moderator about that, I just want someone to explain to me why.

 

You cannot assume that you were the only person given an infraction on that topic; you can't view other people's infractions.

 

My question is basically, how can you infract someone when they give their valid opinion on a picture.

edit: and who is to decide who's opinion is valid or not, we each have our own.

Unfortunately for you, that thread I would say is a "spam bait" topic, not a whole lot can be said about that, and if you say too little, you'll probably be infracted for spam.

 

So I just saw 2 mods view this thread, yet none of them responded

 

You'll need to PM the mod that issued the infraction to discuss it. I agree that your post steps into a grey area where it can be considered both spam and not spam, so just be kind to Determinate and maybe he'll feel sympathetic to you.

We look at threads like that ("spam bait" threads, as HAM.mer said) to get people who are trying to amass a ton of posts in order to scam. Generally for my infractions like that, I'll reverse it if the person confronts me in an apologetic way.

 

Well why would I/they be apologetic if I/they weren't spamming such as "0h n1c3 p1c br0", I/they just gave my/their opinion on the picture.

edit: and if you are aware of these threads then the better thing to do would be to lock it if you are just going to infract people for sharing their opinion on the picture/video, whats the point of even having a section to share pictures and videos then.

 

Just took a look at the thread you were infracted in. Reversed because I agree with you that it was rather unwarranted.
