I don't understand why people listen to Metal music

I honestly cannot stand hearing or listening any type of Metal or hardcore Rock. It just absolutely drives me crazy and gives me a headache. I don't understand any of the words they say and it's just pretty confusing for me. I'm the type of guy who generally listens to Rap and Hip-Hop, but I've never found Metal to be any good.

Why do you guys listen to it?

 

I like anything that is new, I dont really like listeniing to songs over and over again.

MTV Plays it I listen to it lol...

Screamo is jsut inpossible to listen to...

 

Metal isn't really screamo.
Metal is bands such as Metallica, they're not screamo, Alternative Metal you could classify System of a down, then i suppose theirs thrash metal that arent really hardcore screams, I suppose I would say bullet for my valentine and trivium and then theirs what most people classify the whole metal genre to be as is Death Metal, which is 100% screams such as cannibal corpse.

 

Then don't listen to it Pisao. Problem solved.

Okay, now days there are sooo many different types of genre's to metal. Disturbed, System of a down is "Nu metal". Metallica, megadeth and shit like that from the 80s is just straight up metal. Then bands like Sylosis is Melodic Metal, We Butter the Bread with Butter is Grunge/Deathcore Metal.

There so many types of metal, dont just say they all suck. People like you piss me off.

 

Stop judging. You guys seriously just have no fucking respect for music nowadays.

i listen to metal from time to time because i like the beat, not really the singing.

 

Hardcore metal gives me a headache also, i like southern and Classic rock, and most of all hip-hop. I get your point though if your referring to scream-o it makes no sense to me either.

 

I never said it sucked. I was simply giving my opinion on a genre of music, and you make wild assumptions.

50 cent rarely even makes music and linkin park is rock

 

Your classification over music is very simple, it's like a 6 sided die instead of a 12 sider die, that's how I'm thinking of it anyway, I would classify Linkin Park as metal but I wouldn't classify Screamo and such as metal, more Thrash or death or core.

 

I love listening to it, I've been listening to it for year now, love going to shows and moshing and personally I fall asleep listening to it <3

Why metal? Because it sounds good to my ears and less boring then a lot of other genres like... Britpop, rock, hiphop, pop you know....the usually crap you see on TV.
All having the same boring sound that sticks in your head for 2 weeks....driving you mad, made by people with no musical skills whatsoever.

Also i don't really care if i can understand what they sing or not, infact the less i can understand the better it is, the more confusing the better...els it stays in my head driving me crazy/

 

no musical skill by your judgement? tell that to millions of fans and the people who pay them.

 

What about the billions (literally) of people who don't? I do think that the limited fan base speaks for itself.

 

It's all about the beat, not about brand of the music actualy. I listen to it from time to time.

 

And I don't understand why people listen to rap. I find most rap/hiphop songs really annoying and I can't stand listening to them.
It's all about everyone's personal opinion, can't really explain it better.
