New Desktop Background

In retrospect, I think I should of done something a little more clean. Ill try that next time

 

It looks abit busy for a wallpaper, I prefer them to looker sharper and cleaner

 

Its a shame I only saw how messy it actually was after I tried to use it as my background. It looked like a real mess. So I just used a normal background in place.

I'm planning to try again, except much cleaner and sleeker.

It looks pretty cool, a bit to much maybe.

But great job, please upload the new one you're going to make that is a bit cleaner

 

Does it hide your icons at all with the black parts? If not I think it's pretty cool

 

I think that you kinda missed the point of a background. Any good background has an area that is meant to be used for icons and such because that is what goes on a desktop. In addition I'd reduce the depth by alot and make the C4D blend in alot better. It feels like it was just slapped on

 

That - the lighting brush or stock = a great bg i think

 

Look, the wallpaper's only downside is that it's cluttered and has no direction. Take out the C4D that you placed that dominates the wallpaper and any other renders you added. Leave the lightning (personally it's a good touch) and the starry background that shines through. That way, it'll have sort of a space theme to it, while keeping it clean and simple.

 

You have included some very good textures which adds to its overall "effect". But I can see why people are saying that it's too busy, but that can be sorted with some bits here and there. Nice work

 

It looks great as a image, just not really good for a background.
