Just released: South Park, The Stick of Truth

Well, parts of the audio is a bit glitched (like a studdering sound) but it doesn't happen all of the time. Also, you get lost, I mean in terms as, how do I get there? I do love the dialogue though. If I could just fast forward the game and only read/hear the dialogue, I would rate this game 10/10. haha

 

I have no problem dropping 60$ on a fallout game, dragon age, ect... Although I'm excited to play this game, I'll definitely be waiting for a significant price drop. (40$ range or so)

 

tbh south park should have never become a full title, maybe an arcade game at most. $60 for that? no surprise yall feel like u wasted ur money

 

But all those games are robust and feature full RPGs, they aren't selling you because it is a great game but because it is a South Park game.

 

Exactly, which is why I'll be bidding my time until I can pick it up at a discount.

 

Game seemed relatively entertaining; I might pick it up.

 

OK, so I found myself going back to the game to see if there was anything I've missed. I know I've said I don't like turn-based games because they generally bore me after a bit. But, I have found that the more I play it the more it gets a bit interesting. I think it's because it's funny as fuck, so the entertainment keeps me wanting to play a bit more.

First time I played it was about four hours, the 2nd and 3rd time was about 1-2 hours. I can see myself playing it purely for the entertainment in the dialogue and the stuff I find along the way, rather than looking at it as a game per se. It is worth paying $40 but not $60. Either way, I have no regrets.

Looks like it's about 12 hours gameplay total. I think I'll hold off on getting it just yet.

 

The music/gameflow seem Fable-inspired. Seems entertaining.

Not $60 entertaining, though.

 

I saw some ebay bids ending at 50 ish, so it'll drop soon I think.

 

Well, I hope to see it drop down to about $30. This amount seems more reasonable.
