Update from ages ago. I GOT ACCEPTED AS AN AU-PAIR IN GERMANY!

Hi guys, if you don't know what an au-pair is refer to here:

    http://www.aupair-world.net/

Now awhile ago i made a topic, and i wanted to make life-changing decisions and a guy told me about this. I'll find out who it was and thank him, alot. I just recieved an answer back from a family in Germany.

Now as you can imagine, i honestly didn't think i would of even got a reply (1 month later) and now they want me to come in November for 6-24 months. The time frame IS NOT a problem, so don't bring that up.

I need your honest views here, what do you guys think? Am i making a stupid decision? I Honestly want to go through with this, i can save up 2-3 months wages and save up to go to Germany, i'll go check the prices. If anyone knows how much Scotland->Germany costs off the top if there head then that would be even better.

Hey! I remember your post, I think I suggested the Navy? Which I still think would of been the better option here, but hey all up to you!

You need to think to yourself is 2-3 months worth of wages REALLY enough to save up for a 6+ month "holiday" to Germany? Do you know what you're going to be doing over there? School? Work? Just a "holiday?" These are the things you need to seriously think about before you go heading off there.

As for plane tickets, for cheap ones I doubt you'd be paying more than 200 pounds.

Hope you can speak German ;)

I can see the time spent over there is going to be one hell of an experience for you, one that you'll never forget. I once had an au-pair from Slovakia, who I remember to be rather awesome. Make the most of your free time, and see as much of the country as you can!

You sound really excited for this, so I'd support your decision. However, is money a problem? You may think you have enough money, but you may want to consider what you're doing. You're not just paying living expenses and plane tickets, you're going to be a tourist and that costs money :p

I don't really know you, but you have me interested in Au-pairs now, I may have to do some research and find out if I can apply.
