Just installed 4GB RAM into computer, how many bots?

Hey guys, just got 4GB RAM installed, how many bots do you think I could run at once?

 

Just try it yourself mate and you'll know for sure

 

Some processors can't actually use that extra RAM, check yourself and see.

 

My laptop has 4GB RAM built-in (Acer Aspire 8930G)
Though it's so fucked up it can only run two bots, and even then lag.
My old, old old computer (2GB RAM) ran 5 bots last night without any problems.

So yeah, try and see.

I have the same laptop at my mum's house, I'm using a computer atm - Acer Aspire is shite, I know exactly how you feel.

 

As long as you have a 64bit operating system, 4Gb should make a difference. But, you also need a good processor to take full advantage of your RAM, and a graphics card helps to run more bots as well.

 

If your computer doesn't have a graphics card you're doing it wrong. Having a good graphics card wouldn't affect bot performance, though.

 

I have 4GB of RAM, and can run 4 fine.
I have a laptop btw.

 

Is your Operating System 32bit or 64bit? if it's 32, you can only, use 3.5gig ram or so total, if it's 64bit you can use more then 4gig.

 

What kind of cpu do you have? I find that the number of bots you can run is more dependent on your cpu than your ram
