Best Tips for a Newb

Hey Guys -

Just started CsGo - used to play back in the day (10 years ago <never any good at it then>

What is some tips and pointers - played last night for an hour and got slapped around each map.

Any pointers would be great - worst guns to use / best guns to use.

Tips or tricks.

 

Practise, practise and lastly, practise. With that comes experience, and with longer experience becomes greater skill.

CS is usually a huge turn off from CoD players etc due to the the fact you actually have to get good with mouse precision etc.

Also don't run around corners spraying, learn to peak around corners. And the most golden rule of all. LEARN THE MAPS MAN!

 

Use your knife when you want to run faster

 

^ I took notice of the knife thing very early - I find cod players would hate this - also I haven't played PC fps in years, coming from xbox to pc is a huge jump - however I love it nothing better then killing some terrorists@!

 

Also when you get the cash - do you buy your primary then another hand gun - or just keep with the primary?

Or am I over thinking the importance of this?

 

Honestly I'm just upper silver, I think keeping the primary is better though

 

I take it you're probably playing casual so it honestly doesn't matter but when you get to competitive its a whole new ball game, I would recommend looking up some CS:GO tips on YouTube mainly you want to focus on aim control, recoil and spray pattern also you might want to adjust sensitivity and your crosshair but Definitely check out thewarowls tip videos there very helpful

 

Don't ever buy an auto.

 

I am not that good in the game too and I've been playing it for about a year along with league of Legends , I know the basics of the game but I am not good at shooting lol. If anything I only kill people with pistols because thats what I am best with. My best gun would have to be the ak-47 but I pref pistols>ak unless Im in a teamfight massacre. Currently Silver 2 and proud

 

P90 is the best gun for noobs. Ak-47 and the m4 are the better weapons. AWP is also good if you can snipe. Remember, crosshair placement is everything.

Thanks for the tips guys - been playing a lot of casual and getting better - friends play as well and my best mate jumps on his "smerf" and comes and carries us which is good - still bottom of the ladder but dam CS GO IS SO ADDICTIVE!!!

Study the AK spray

 

Brought some keys = hooked

Got set my sensitivity up correctly and figure out the spray pattern for the guns I like using

 

Spray patterns, learn them.
Learn to not run and shoot with ak ( i still fail at this )

 

My friends who play a lot - keep ripping me about doing this.



Got two chroma 2 cases in last couple days, been good I have sold them and brought some stuff I liked - free skins
