    How do you properly merch?

What should I merch I have 49m cash and want to flip that quickly into 60m or more. I did make a mistake of buying robins for 4.5m then trying to sell it on g.e for 5.2m (med) and it never sold and I even tried lowest 4.9m and still wouldn't sell and it wouldn't budge just trying to sell normally to people.

Is that the proper way of merching and what should I merch?

Well, I'm not a pro-mercher. But I assume you bought the crashing robin hood hat? Well, if you're going to merch NEVER buy crashing items. They are nigh impossible to sell off for profit.

I would say not true about crashing items. some crashers have a VERY GOOD buy-sell spread. You do need to be careful but sometimes they are fast profitable flips :)

There's a difference between a crashing item and falling item. Falling but stable items are good to flip but when an item is just steeply falling and you can't be sure when it's gonna go up, it's better not to invest into those.

falling/crashing = not stable. but u can flip both. its not an investment its flip with very lil risk and no speculating. Anyone can do it with a paper pen and a calc.. I am not trying to insult you but i do it all the time :)

I've bought the robin hood hat 1-2 days ago and at the time I looked at the grand exchange it was positive so increasing in price and that's what I look for unfortunately it took forever to sell off.

So what should I do buy bulk items from people then sell it on grand exchange for more?

well it just depends on how u want to merch. i only use ge because u get the best deals. I dont invest. investing is based on speculation which is a little better than gambling. the longest i hold an items is 24hrs. but thats just my way of doing it

I understand fully on flip merchanting and investing, however what my question is should I buy on the grand exchange say for example sharks 1000 of them for 5% under the normal price then resell it for normal or 5% more?

Flipping is still gambling keep in mind, and prices fluctuate all the time.

Usually I deal with items that aren't over 5m, and test the waters before buying my stock to ensure I don't lose too much in case the merch goes awry

B-Rings and bgs's would be good for you, although it depends, santas can be good once you get a higher bankroll. i just started getting back into merching last weekend, just focused on flipping and made 15m profit from my 90m bankroll

ya all on the ge.That kinda of flipping does work not that effective. because you have to wait for the items to buy if the buy sell range is not within 5%. or u can miss 10% gain by buying the items for to much. Do u know the methods how to speed flip or quick flip?

I usually find clans that manipulate the prices of the ge and merch, but since free trade came out they may be less effective

No what is speed flipping? Please teach me and is this just as profitable? Is it just buying something for the lowest price and making a 20-30% markup?

Buy item at 5% above ... note the real price you buy it at
sell that item at 5% below ... note the real price you sell it at
buy the item 1 gp above the price you sold it for, then sell it for 1 gp less than the price you bought it for
