Trying to learn smudging!

I like it. I know it's very basic I kind of got to this point and didn't know what else to do ha but any advice is nice ty.

 

I think the sides are way to plain and the lighting isn't that good.

 

you should of made the character look like a oil painting too that would look cool

 

People should concentrate on the smudging here, not overall composition. I think the smudge style is nice, some more depth would look good but great start

The flow of the smudging is decent but the lighting needs work, the render has light coming from the top right ish but the light in the background doesn't really reflect that

 

I can see what you mean, nonetheless it's still a nice smudge with decent flow.
