Explanation:
VirtGold hired me to develop a custom Roblox Discord bot for $245. The task turned out to be more complex than expected, and I spent 3 days coding it. Once I completed the bot, I sent him a video showcasing the functionality and asked for $345 to reflect the extra work involved.

After seeing the video, he refused to pay, said he’d just make it himself, and instantly blocked me—wasting my time and walking off with the work I did.

How They Scammed:

• Agreed to pay $245, then ghosted when I asked for $345 due to increased complexity.

VirtGold took advantage of my time and effort, used my knowledge and the bot I developed to make his own, and blocked me instead of paying what was agreed upon. Clear scam behavior, furthermore he is lying he has tried 2 other developers before me but they could not do it, so i messaged him.

The only real gap in understanding comes from Virt’s misinterpretation of the bot being incomplete—which is false. The bot was fully functional and completely bypassed CAPTCHA using residential proxies. The issue is Virt lacks experience with these kinds of bypasses and assumed it didn’t work, likely because he couldn’t recognize the method being used. That’s not my fault.

Why would I explain the exact method (residential proxy bypass) before being paid? If I had told him that upfront, he would have simply replicated the approach himself and never paid me for the work. Which is exactly what he tried to do the moment I showed the working proof.

I delivered a complete product. The increased $100 request reflects three full days of extra work and successful delivery of functionality that no one else could achieve (he previously failed with two other devs). Rather than negotiating or paying for the completed job, he ghosted and blocked me after extracting knowledge and functionality from the demo video.

So to be clear:

it seems you're missing a key point: i CREATED more than what virt originally offered for, and i clearly stated that the added complexity (like captcha bypass, which he initially expected to be solved using his keys) required extra work on my part. instead of discussing or negotiating after i showed working proof, he instantly blocked me, avoiding any payment altogether.
to be specific:

• virt offered $245 with the assumption i’d use his captcha keys.

• rather than responding professionally, he ghosted and blocked me, with no willingness to negotiate.

frankly, i’m surprised that this is being spun as if i did something wrong by requesting fair compensation after having a working product that exceeded expectations. it almost feels like i’m being interrogated instead of protected as a developer who got scammed. if someone can block and walk with your work once it’s done (product or even IP), what protection do developers have here?

i stand by what i had ready to deliver and the value i provided. the fact that he used it as a blueprint for his own version is clear enough.
