How To Download Youtube Videos

This guide was written by me, I have used my knowledge of how to do this. This guide wasn’t leeched from anywhere.​

Welcome to my 2nd guide. I am going to try and give this a better layout than my first, so hopefully all goes well, and I hope this guide helps you.​

So what exactly is Youtube?
For those of you who are unaware of Youtube, Youtube is a site where you can watch and share videos, for free. You can upload videos for free, aswell as watch them for free. It’s a great site to watch practically anything. Music Videos, TV Series, almost everything you can imagine.

Step 1:​

There is a program that you will need, It's called (Youtube Downloader). It's a great program to download videos with.

Click "Download Now". You will be redirected to a site with information on the program, aswell as a Download link.



When you click "Download Now" the download will come up. Hit save file, and wait for it to download.



When it downloads. Simply locate the file, and install the program.

Step 2:
Open up "Youtube Downloader". It will look like this




Step 3:
Go on http://youtube.com and find a video that you would like downloaded. Once you have found one, Copy the URL.



Go back to "Youtube Downloader" and Paste the URL into the top box, Then click OK.



Choose where you want to save your file, and hit OK.

Wait for the file to download, and you're all set​

Step 4:
I felt as if i should add in how to convert a video.

Converting is when for example, you have the file format .WMV, but you want to put the file onto your Ipod Nano, which would need it in the Ipod Video format. Youtube Downloader also supports this.

Simply Click the little circle " Convert File (previously downloaded) from file.





Locate the file you want converted, choose which file type you want, and wallah.


I really hope that this guide helped you. If there is anything you think i should change or add, please don't hesitate to post, it really means a lot.

Very detailed. Very nice layout, although the black colour of your text was a bit hard to read. No big deal.
The subject is easy, but useful. You could also mention that there are (better) alternatives to using this. Like using the Voobys method or the addon to firefox, DownloadHelper.
I like the way you use images. You make it a part of the guide, instead of just adding them because “a good guide needs images”.

Good work, but I’d recommend you mention some alternatives and changing the black text colour.
