Merge Sections

These sections make no sense. The 'Other Games' Forum is filled with threads for MMO items/gold and accounts, which have their own subsections under 'Other MMOs'.

Shouldn't the 'Other Games' forum be closed for posting like the 'Other MMOs' forum?

Feel free to post other suggestions for how to make these forums more clear (especially if these are games that Sythe wants to have a bigger market in).

 

Dont use either of them and I guess as a single thread it would liven it up.

I believe the intention of the "Other MMOs" section was to create an environment in which their parts can be applied to numerous games. AKA the MMO Account Trading, MMO Item/Gold Trading, MMO Services. They are all services that you would expect from a typical MMO, so they created these section to prevent having to add in the new game forum every time another game becomes popular.

I believe that having a section called "Other Games" is important because many games in the future may have a market without being considered an MMO and don't follow the typical MMO trend.

In my opinion, they should either keep both sections and enforce their differentiation with a new sticky thread explaining their purpose and maintaining the thread in their proper category. Alternatively, they should merge them into together into an "Other Games" section, keeping the MMO sub-sections.

Why not. Don't use any of them, but seems pretty logical that other MMOs are other games. So why not just merge them?

 

Other Games was created by itself, the Neopets and Diablo 3 markets were added in later. That's why Other Games isn't closed for posting. Also the divisions are based on the game. The Other MMOs section and its subsections were all created together at the same time, and the divisions based on the type of product (gold vs accounts vs services).

To be honest both sections are a mess. Most of the threads in the Other MMOs section are just companies that bump their threads daily without getting any response posts.

 

It would make sense to merge them imo.
