The worst ad I ever bought award goes to...

The people who understand what those #'s mean are either laughing at them or crying alongside me. The CPV is so cringe compared to the industry standard I want to die rn. Arcus & Bogla & Stake & Crazy & Pie must want to jump off a bridge if their tracking what I am. Could of gotton better results for $200 on google adwords through image advertisements and generated even better backlinks.

I've owned if I'm not mistaken ~12 bottom sythe banners since joining Sythe and 3 top ones - I am arguably the 3rd biggest advertiser behind Arcus/Bogla & Stake - I've spent give or take $11,500-$13,000 on Sythe ads - This performance compared to the last bottom one is barely 1/3 what the last one generated -

Pretty sure this will be the last ad I ever buy on this site. Doesn't bode well. The worst part is I cant even justify it MIGHT be worth it through them returning or the branding because we are tracking their returns through cookies for (30) days. I might buy one more ad with new banners just to judge if this current analytics set is consistent but boy I hope it isn't.

I am pretty much the only one of these greedy fucks who shares any analytics or information/real business data with this community and other people -I do it because I have a simple mindset - If some data helps my competition beat me out than I deserve to be beat out - Data is a set of numbers to me - Nothing more. Most of you don't give a shit but here's to the few that do.

 

It's possible most people go to player auctions due to the insurance, clear reviews and it being the highest standard for safe account buying. So just less interest in this ad overall.

I disagree. I, and many others, have found the best way to buy accounts is from people who sell too many to charge back. Buying from the people with 5K+ reviews is the safest you will get in this business. Personally I've bought over 25 accounts ranging from $25-$300 only from people with 5K+ reviews and I've had zero issues for four years.

 

Not everyone has 5k + reviews or even 1 review. I'm assuming that you're getting majority of business with people that don't have much reputation.

 

There's every account you could want from a vendor on PA with 5k+ reviews. You get into trouble when you want to save 20% and go to the guy with 5 reviews when you're buying a $300 account. If you use common sense on PA it's the best place to buy accounts.

That's why I said the ad probably didn't get as much interest, thus the results. People just use PA, the amount of buy reviews for accounts is proof of that lol.

@Golds that's highly debatable - Considering our sales I would say the statement "Everyone knows PA is the best to go to" is definitely not accurate - Our model wouldn't exist or wouldn't be working if that was the case - I'm not going to sit here and say we hold a candle to PA right now but with ~40,000+ visitors/mo and growing I can imagine AWH and PA are pretty annoyed and as time goes on that will only grow. We simply offer better insurance terms, far more payment methods across the world and lower account recovery rates - AWH advertises 3% and PA's support has leaked the # 8% on their support thread(their own words not mine) - While after 3 months Acckings has had ZERO recoveries(0%) - while 3 months isn't a full year by any means it would take a significant amount of recoveries for us to drift anywhere near 3-8% like our competition - I simply think we have the better model now in the long-term.

 

I think it's fair to say 95% of sales would go to Player Auctions. Everyone else is getting scraps and will get scraps for a long ass time.

I've been following your new site very closely. I think 40k real visitors a month is a stretch in 3 months. Analytics can easily account for things other then real people to make you think you're just booming. Judging by how many products have gone up and down for sale, the amount you even list and the pricing of said accounts I highly doubt it's as successful as you claim.

If you did get 40k visitors a month I assume at least 1% would buy from you. Since your primarily OSRS / RS3 / lol based we will look at that. Many of your product pages contain zero accounts or a couple. As for the OSRS / RS3 and LoL if 1% of 40k traffic bought an account that would be 400 sales. According to my records you have not updated the products on those pages 400 times despite listing most quantities as 1 and the accounts being semi unique and non standard. Not even close to 400.

Not to mention your site has very little if any presence on the internet yet. Not in 3 months. Your SEO is next to zero. So you're not beating anyone on google for sales within the next couple years. Certainly will never beat PA.

Basic knowledge of how business works would tell you that brokering transactions between players is the only way to have a huge site. A truly huge site.


I think your site is all about snagging a few high profit margin sales a day judging by the pricing structure and traffic sources compared to giants. Saying otherwise is just silly.

That's why I made the statement "I may purchase another ad to see if this is consistent with this months analytics" because I cant really pass judgement based on 1 data set - I made sure to include that in the OP so people realized my judgement is only based on this one months analytics.

It is theoretically possible that it's due to the nature of the ad(an accounts site) versus a gold site but one has to question whether that's a viable excuse to bail out the ads poor performance - Since I am also a gold site owner I can look at and compare things like bounce rate and other analytics between the gold site and the accounts site which are not that different.

Accounts sections are also > gold section traffic as well - Accounts is even more active than gold.

Then you have factors like the banner quality and whether its less attractive than my past banners - but most of these things are somewhat minor factors - How my banner looks is not going to change 2.3k uniques to 900.

Most gold website owners are retarded and just buy any type of advertising they can get their hands on, they still pay 400$ on osbot adds which gets them 50 clicks at most, when buying 5 early bump would legit get you more traffic

 

Osbot ads actually generate decent traffic - I've bought pretty much every ad everywhere.

 

I've heard from way bigger market users, it's one of the worst places to spend advertising money on, but anyway i wouldn't really suggest buying these banners anywhere, there are a lot of niche places where you can advertise for pennies and get big results just have to be creative
