Disclaimer: I don't really know Basics or Josh, but from my experience in the name sales market I'll explain what's going on in Josh's report and why it should be disregarded.

What happened:

• Josh bought “Oo” from the original owner of the name.
• Josh then proceeded to sell the name to Basics for a decent profit.
• Josh claims that Basics then got into a fight with the original owner of “Oo”, and now the original owner is threatening to “recover" the name
• Josh believes that Basics should not be allowed to sell the name “Oo” because of the recovery threat

This is honestly the most retarded thread I’ve seen in a while. Josh is falsely accusing Basics of trying to scam. The only thing basics is trying to sell a name that Josh sold to him.

There’s no way in hell that the recovery threat made by the original owner should be taken seriously. Regardless of what “proof” Josh tries to use in showing that it’s easy for owners to recover names, he’s wrong. It is very difficult if not impossible to recover a name by contacting jagex directly, especially after selling names for gp was confirmed to be allowed.

Furthermore, according to sythe rules, if the name were to be recovered by the original owner, Josh would ultimately be responsible as he was the one that bought it from said owner.

TWC'ing Basics really doesn't make sense. I'd advise that you reevaluate your decision after taking another look at the facts.

 

I've seen names recovered. It all adds up in my view. I'll have a runefag mod check it over.
