Is public school bad?

i have gone to private, now i may go to public, is that bad?

if you're a 4.0gpa student who hates people who use bad language, and a lot of fights ect ect then stay in private school

Public school is better for having fun I'd say, but if you actually want to learn private school is better.

There was a report recently about all the schools in my province, and which scored highest on some mandatory test. The top 7 were all private, so that does say something.

I'm in public though, and enjoying it.

 

Dude, the girls are the best part. They dress hawtlike and they go to wild parties, that's the best combination . But in all seriousness, if you grew up in a private school, you should stay there. There's lots of shit happening in publc schools, especially with the rise in gang activity and the economic downturn. But in the end, it's up to you and how you feel about it. Gl with your choice.

Public schools are supposed to help those poor and needy people. Now a days, students from public schools are immoral, immature, boastful and always been looking for a fight. Only few public schools now are really helpful. Most are just a waste of space. I've seen teachers hurting their student because of small mistakes. And as have said before, if your looking for fight, bad attitudes and such, go back to your place. But if you want proper education and somewhat people treating you good, stay in private.

Haha. I have had bad experiences with public school. I wish I could go to private school.

Basically, all the teachers shit talked to me and I was failing most of my classes (even though I was trying), and the teachers ignored the fact that I'm retarded as hell, and gave me detentions + wednesday night schools for "Not completing my work." even though they never offered to help me.

Public schools are full of shitty teachers, bitchy students, and hot girls.

Downsides and upsides to everything I guess.

(I ended up getting expelled from that school later on, doing homeschool currently. Going to highschool in the fall).

 

I said "Public schools ARE" so I believe it does have something to do with public schools. I am not pointing out that I'm right but am trying to help. As for you.

 

Depends where you live if you live in a bad area your screwed but public schools are good in my opion. There are girls in private schools lol BUT there are more hotter ones in public.

Yes, you do learn more in private school and you do learn at a way faster pace - but it's boring.

I prefer public schools.

 

I go to a public school because all my friends were. I was about to go to a private school, but I would be lonely. In my school, there are girls that wear like short skirts and they have sexy legs. They are Godlike!

Private school - Boring, but more holidays. And you get to learn something.
Public school - Fun and girls. But lots of fights and bullying. Not that good teachers too.

 

Eh...public schools aren't great because all the girls eventually get raped/pregnant/STD's by Grade 12.

 

I think they are bad as they have to cater to the low end of people, and the ones who accelerate in school don't get nearly enough attention to stimulate them. Generally private schools have smaller classes and more challenges for the smart/gifted students.

i don't see why everyone here hates public schools lol. unless of course they are losers and assume they would have been better suited in private schools. if you get good grades in a school, whether its public or private, you will get into a good college if you actually intend on going to college. i went to a public high school, got good grades and am now going to a good college.

in my high school class - 0 rapes - 0 pregnancies - 0 STD's that i know of so you obviously don't know what your talking about lol. and when i was a freshman, the three classes above me had 0 of these as well. when i was a senior, the 3 classes below me had 1 pregnancy. but i guess you are right. 1 girl out of the 400 or so is the same as "all the girls" lol. so assuming tezlin goes to a private school, its safe to say that they make you stuck up and think you're better than everyone else when you are actually a bigger asshole than the people you think you're better than.

I went to both a public and private high school, for 2 years each. The quality of education in ONTARIO is not that different.

So now you admit that you aren't even right? How are you being helpful?

BOTTOM LINE:

Private schools have better resources, but do not guarantee a better education or better future. Typically private schools will have more freedom to discipline students, and thus have the power to enstil a better work-ethic post-grad. I HAVE seen private school kids fail horribly at university because they finally get a chance to go nuts, I've seen them do very well.

Public schools are much less funded, however you can still get a high-quality education if you put equal effort in.

And to whoever said private schools score higher on standardized tests, that's typically because students with 97+ averages will get massive scholarships to attend private schools for that very reason.
