Realistically obviously this was spotted as a troll by coworker but stuff like this should not go unnoticed as the intention is unclear - would he have scammed if another person he tried this on actually took it seriously?

There's a fine line between trolling in discords where it's obvious and trolling in DMs like this when it can get real and $ is involved

On a side note - if you're above 15 years old and you pull this shit off constantly then you should go touch grass every now and then
