Im loving the secound one

 

I like the second one better, because the first one's light on the person is a bit too strong. It's pretty good, but it has too much negative space. There's a lot of detail on 1 part, then none on others. Not really a bad thing, but feels a bit too empty (personal opinions, I guess).

Maybe you could try the pen tool? It looks really nice, and I think it would look good on this theme (kinda like dancing). There are some really neat effects in here. Good job.
