    Johncx precautionary ban

I currently have a thread in Account Recovery & Creation, but I think it is more appropriate for this to be posted here since I am in complete control of the account, password, 2FA, email etc and only need an unban.

I was banned at around 7PM EST after I noticed suspicious activity on my account. I received 2 notifications from PM that I was trying to buy/sell gold off of 2 users, when in reality I don't buy or sell gold. I immediately changed my password and added 2FA, which seemed to have kicked the hacker off. While I was trying to sort everything out, I notified @Excelont that my account was compromised and my account was banned shortly after.

My password was extremely simple, which leads me to believe that either the hacker bruteforced the password or simply guessed it. Despite the fact none of my RS accounts or emails were compromised, I reformatted my PC and ran a complete virus scan.

I am 100% confident that this issue is fully resolved, and going forward there will be no more issues. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Here is my recovery post if you're wondering:
