email verification wont be hard, you can easy make email account and register, so this method imho.. wont help them at all.

 

Certainly makes it a pain to make mass amounts of accounts though. I used to be able to get away with making accounts like [email protected] and stuff

It certainly would be a pain for the mass gold farmers, but just your average joe, that would be a good thing, as then he can make his accounts more secure etc. All the account i bot on the same login is the email i created for them so they are all email verified, its great if you plan on selling the account, and have the acc email to give aswell along with the login email

 

Hmm i don't think you have to verify your email before playing. I just made a fake email account and had no problems. HOPEFULLY they don't implement the mandatory email verification today. I'm about to make hundreds of email accounts just in case.

exactly what else would you like me to read?

 

As a less experienced botter than the rest of you probably (only been botting for ~1.5 years) this is bad news to me

if they begin doing things to combat bots, banning accounts, ill probably get caught

while you guys are like sweet the newbie botters may get fucked while we will be rewarded for our skill in botting

this couldn't have happened at a less opportune time for me

Jagex has been saying they have been improving their bot detection systems for so long now. Usually they ban like 20k ftp bots and and then everything is normal.

I honestly don't think much is going to change. Jagex wants to keep getting their "Most popular MMO of the year award". I'm guessing the more players they have, the more popular it is considered.

 

I have only been botting sence 3 months ago, i have just been playing sence 2001, so i know what NOT to do when botting hehe

But in all honesty i dont think this will be implemented soon and i dont see it affect us much. *the non mass gold farmers*

 

This mainly hit the gold farm advertiser bots - they've been super muting them recently.

Not a big deal for anything else I think.

I like that there is a mandatory email verification now.

 

Jagex posts something like this every few weeks or so, but I kind of like the email verification.
