Java?

I was just wondering...

which language should i learn first?
i want to get into programin and other stuff.

But im not sure which to try and learn first
and what to use to learn from.



Really all i need to know is -

Which language?
and what programs/sites/ for the help and other stuff.
all help would be nice.

Start off with HTML. It will give you the basic look and feel. Then you should learn a scripting language such as Ruby. It is easy and effective. If you do like web programming then you should branch out to Javascript, CSS, then XML, SQL later PHP/ASP.NET.
If you up for application programming go for Python, Perl, Java, Bash/Shell, and any other languages that are not that difficult.
Later you should try C++/C, C#, and then maybe ASM.

 

I think you should start with java. Or learn few languages basics and then you will see what you like most. Java it is easy to learn because there is a lot of e-books to read. But try to choose book where is more practic then bull shit talking. And you will see your sellf how fast you are learning. After that you can start learning c++ because it is very familiar with java. Good luck!

 

Start off with Visual Basic, move on to c++ and Java.
