    Literature in Art

I'm going to be presenting on this prompt in a few days, and I thought maybe I could get some brainstorming going on here which I could possibly use in my presentation.

If you are thinking of posting, please relate the prompt to literature - as that is what I will be presenting on.

I considered posting this in General Discussion, but decided it was more homework-related. I'll get less responses, but meh.

i suppose you could consider art a form of free speech and so you would have to ask yourself if your going to control art because it can shape how people think, you would have to control all forms of speech because they can also change how people think

don't know if thats what you're looking for but thats what popped into my head when i read it

What the real question is should the government or some other third party moderate our lives? I would say that people have a right to express their ideas and by controlling art you are on a slippery slope to controlling how people think.

So, oblivion, you would have to control all forms of art? That's what you mean?

yes, if you control one form of expression, people will just move to another one so you would have to control all if you don't want to affect how people think

What does it mean to be politically subversive?

I don't see how those two words can go together in the context of art...
