Muslims in America

There is a show called Muslims in America, & I just read up on this ad that Lowe's pulled from the show, and my opinion is kind of that the public over reacting, while Lowe's is being ignorant at the same time.

The show sucks, but look past that. The link I just read is below(yes, old news)

The show is called All-American Muslims. That show is an epic joke, but Lowe's got major heat for what they did.

 

Mexistani, I don't think you understand or comprehend the accusations that are being made against the Muslim public by the Florida Family Assn. The public is not over-reacting, it is simply doing what is right. Making accusations against a religion and all of its people is complete and sure bias. You cannot achieve peace and hope to work well with one person when, on the side you or your fellow counterparts are accusing them of being religious fanatics.

I do agree with you that the show is horrible and at the same time, I want to stress that it does not in anyway reflect the behavior of real Muslims. The people who are being portrayed have been "hand-selected" to show the negative side of Muslims. Trust me, if you walk into any Muslim religious congregation, you will be welcomed with open arms.

 

Maybe they just didn't see it profitable to run an ad on the show?
I don't really see what's wrong with what they did. If someone wouldn't mind further explaining it I'd appreciate it.

 

This is a prime example of how the public portrays every move anyone does as racist. No one would care if lowes pulled an ad from the Superbowl, but God forbid they pull an ad from a show about minorities and the world is up in arms.

 

The show looks like garbage, and people need to stop being so easily offended whenever Islam is mentioned. Take, for example, the statement of Keith Ellison, an Islamic Congressman who claimed that Lowe's "uph[e]ld the beliefs of a fringe hate group and not the creed of the 1st Amendment." The equation of a calculated marketing decision with governmental interference in the exercise of one's rights is absolutely nonsensical; anybody who could have made such a ridiculous statement should never have been elected to public office.

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure there are clever people whom can look beyond the zionist-funded propaganda.

I never said I was offended nor did i try to make any gesture to show so, I am simply saying that minorities groups and majorities are entitled to their own opinions and such. In this case, many Muslims held the belief that the pulling of the ad was because the Florida Family Assn. made a segregated claim against the Muslim community BASED on the show and requested withdrawal of the add. By withdrawing the ad, the Lowe's Company appeared to withdraw its support of Muslim behavior and such.

@Drugs: All Americans have problems with Muslims? Thats a pretty large statement considering many "Americans are Muslim.
