Explanation of the trade:I added the discord on his thread which you can see here.Imgur I was going to sell him some rsps but he said he had to wait for buyers which i thought was fair enough, i asked him if he bought 07 gold which he said yes too. We then agreed to sell him 1237m 07 for bitcoin at 0.8usd per m which i was extreamly happy about
How they scammed:Gave them the gold and then got blocked

Other relevant trade screenshots: Get this scumbag off your site. i lost a months worth of winnings and about 150usd that i put into it my self im so gutted its unreal.....please help

Hey, I talked to him and was able to verify that he was unfortunately scammed by an imposter.



He was unable to post on this thread anymore because of insufficient priveleges, so he asked me to post it for him.

We may have to do something about signatures. They are all posted in capital letters and it's therefore really confusing for some members.

 

Or maybe they should ask for PM’s?

They aren’t required if the person’s SKYPE was listed on their profile or market thread

 

Correct, there is currently a gap in the rules that I hope can be addressed. If a skype is listed on your thread, or signature, you are liable for it if it is hacked or something. The same has not been said about discord because of all the discord trading issues. There has not been confirmation of this, one way or the other.

Hello friend, it looks like you were scammed by an impostor. My only Discord is Searchy#6028 and if you would've taken your time to look at the thread you would've seen that. It's clearly stated.

IM sorry but you really are gonna let him get away with scamming people.

He advertise's his contact information(which is apparently a scammer) why would you post it on your main thread if that was not your contact? I honestly can not see how he can not get in trouble for this

Now think about this then so i can make a thread for a service or gold put the wrong discord id on the thread and get away with it?

What is stopping people from purposely putting the wrong id to scam people

I would love this to be investigated i understand it was a impostor but you can not let him carry on advertising the wrong discord and scamming people!

So which one is it, is he listing a incorrect discord name(which i believe is him and he knows what he is doing) or he has the correct discord listed?

I feel like pendulum and searchy may be friends...as he has closed this report without even reading it and replying to close it for his friend. He then reads the report and puts the edit minutes later..

I feel like this is one big cover up for a big scam as i have lost quite a bit of money for "searchy" just to say its a impostor.....which i would never have ever added if searchy had not put it in his thread. I have seen people get TWC for far less. Can no one else see how shady this is?

the top and bottom of it all searchy has listed the incorrect discord ID, On a design thread layout which he probably paid for and a lot work and paying attention to every detail because it will represented him correct? So how did he not notice that it was all in capitals? He has done this to mislead people and he knows he cant just hide behind "impostor" if he posted the wrong bitcoin address for people to send him money and in return would give say in game gold. but he gave the wrong address who would be liable?

I do think he should have a twc because he is such an experienced trader who should know better

 

The sticky is quite clear, all discord trades require a pm. If you don't get a pm and get scammed, that's on you.

It's super shitty that discord even treats differently-capitalized same-spelling names as different users and that's one reason why we don't accept non-pm discord scam reports.

@John Devola The "gap" in the rules is intentional. Skype and discord are two different communication platforms and skype doesn't have the issues that discord does. This is why we require a pm for all discord trades but not for all skype trades. I think we should just extend the pm requirement to all communication mediums though
