Requesting a name.

So, a couple of my maxed friends had the chance to switch over to a very rare unused name, how do they go about doing that? I am at 2480~ total atm, is there a way to request a name?

 

I would assume they just snagged the name when Jagex was freeing up inactive usernames, then transfered it over. I have never heard of being able to request a name, since if you can't get it by switching to it that usually means it's been taken

 

ummm theres no way to request a name lol even if you're zezima or whatever what they did is probably just change when jagex released the innactive names what you could do i buy a name here in rare name shops and then you have to change the name twice on that acc to make it accessible on any other accounts, so gl with that pm me if you have questions about how to xfer a name

 

i wonder how much the name striker would sell for.

 

Head over to Runescape Markets -> Other accounts -> lvl 3-59

You will see many rare name selling threads.
You can purchase one of those accounts and xfer the name to your main.

 

Agree with Determinate, go to a rare name selling thread and buy one from there.

 

In maxed out forums, you can request a lot of things, and get them.

Yes alot of high level players do get the chance to get rare names, If you aware they would all be mods.


Example Look up "Water" on Hiscores, One of the best F2P accounts on runescape. Never been a member but has changed hes name, he is a mod.

Thats what I was told by a PMod unsure if its true but I dont see why he would have lied about it...

1485+96= 1581

His total is 1590, must of been member...

I think you need to check your math, lol.

15 x 99 = 1485 : As there are 15 f2p skills, excluding dunge as he isn't 99.

1485 + 96 = 1581: Adding his Dungeoneering in.

1581 + 9 = 1590 : As there are 9 Member's skills all at level 1(he's pure f2p).


Anyways, to explain his whole name change scenario, I'm pretty sure I remember him saying that he changed it through funorb membership...so technically he has never been a member on Runescape.
