    Jagex is a business.

I obviously dont like the direction the game has gone in... my first 99 took me THREE MONTHS to get and now its LITERALLY possible to get a 99 in 3 or so days, esp if you suicide bot.

Realistically I dont know if the pre- "wildy removal" days are even possible to reach again. Content wise? Impossible. The naked mole rat underneath Falador hasnt been touched in years. I bet if you asked half of the RS community whats underneath Falador they wouldnt have a clue.

The game has gone down the drain and to be honest, it seems like the days of restricted trade and low bots were the best because the legit aspects that drive the spirit of the game are what makes it nostalgic. SoF is just a product and symbol for TONS of games that have gone down the wrong path.

The worst part is I made at least 20 friends from this game back during my first two years and I only talk to one now and he only returned for leisure play because he now gets 50 FPS. IMO, if Jagex didnt make RS such a grind in the first place we would be all set, think about it.

Sorry - no. I have "quit" before, but had always come back. This time, I won't. I barely post in the Runescape section unless it's for topics like this. You'll almost always see in all Off-Topic subsections.

P.S. It's already been a month and still no desire at all to return. Good try tho ;)

Now they're just taking the piss.
"buying their way into success" is exactly what players can do, via purchasing the spins due to the high level of exp lamps you receive and spend on exp

I don't understand how so many people can cry jagex is "real world trading" yet your posting on a site where you buy and sell rs gold, training, accounts ect. It's okay for you to do it but if jagex want's to make some extra money, possibly to keep the game alive... Then they're the bad guys? People are backwards.

Edit: Also it's a game aka pixels who gives a crap if other people buy spins to get they're levels up. I personally wouldn't waste my money on it but why would you guys be so concerned how people get they're pixels.

2nd Edit: Jagex could have also upped the price of membership and some of you might now say you'd rather them do that but if they just did it and there was no SoF you'd guys be complaining up the increase in price too.

This sums up exactly how I feel. Whenever Jagex fucks up they try and justify it.
They can not just admit that SoF was a huge flop.
They do not listen, because mainly they see SoF as a way to gain profit and when money is involved Jagex has there own opinion.

While i dont know this guy personally i do know several people who have been on the fence about quitting rs due to updates in past to quit the day SoF came out... Im talking 4-5 people i know irl who ACTUALLY quit plaing rs all together over this.. Jagex doesnt care about their fanbase end of story. How many more people are they going to force out of the game by consistently dumbing the game down more and more with these terrible updates. Im genuinely offended by the SoF, i see a cash shop in runescapes future that will be the day runescape completely dies. It seems jagex is targeting spoiled little kids as opposed to serious gamers, this being a MMO i think they are making a huge mistake. Whole thing leaves a bad taste in my mouth

i read it as, them basicly saying its not rwt and doesn't affect the game or players, when really if someone wanted and had stolen CC etc could get some insane amounts of exp.

obvsly it was a marketing ploy to get more membership, i don't see why its that hard for them to just say, yes we need more members to keep the game thriving...

and @kero false, i've pretty much been done with this game for the past year, and have been 3 months w/o logging in, and have 0 accounts left, i just happened to collect alot of knowledge within 11 years of the game, and still like to help others :p
