CME Group Stock Exchange

Went there today for the first time (downtown Chicago). Was one of the most incredible things I've ever seen. Even through soundproof glass you could hear the roar of people throughout the pits. We were given a tour by a friend's dad, who was a Co-owner of one of the largest private futures & options companies around about 30 years ago.

Has anyone ever been?

 

I've always wondered how people can function in such an environment ;P
But it would be pretty cool to go there in first person.

I was thinking the very same thing! Literally everyone's yelling, and there are different hand motions for absolutely everything. It's unreal.

Probably because science is boring and economics is where the money's at. ;D

On-topic, I have never been, but I plan on going to Wall-street this summer. Just to look at all of it, looks busy as hell, that's for sure.
