Why the rise in Ex:Pins / Upgrades?

I remember back in the ole' day when 3$ could buy me a membership pin. Not completely sure about the switch to upgrades but I'm assuming it's to be safer all around. What I want to know is why the rise in prices? And switching from selling for $ to mostly selling for rsgp. Everyone trying to merchant gp now? Thoughts/ ideas?

 

They cost $8.00 which means, 9-10m sounds reasonable considering people sell RSGP for .40+/mill.

 

Dunno how far back you are referring to but Jagex has raised the price of membership.

And about your GP Merch comment, yeah a lot of people seem to be into that these days. Doesn't seem like a difficult process.

 

that .40/m is for orders WAY over. Unless you are just a big time buyer. And i see they've raised the prices, but I'm sure some of the pins/upgrades sold weren't very legally obtained to begin with. It's like every time i take a break from sythe there's a big change.

 

Supply and Demand, With the old method of Pin lines etc not being able to be used ( or very few used ) There is less supply, but still the same if not more demand.

RSGP is safer to recieve for sellers. Less supply of upgrades now.

 

There is more people in need of upgrades since the summer has basically begun. However there is a big downside in the demand for upgrades because a lot of the newer sellers are selling the upgrades through less legit methods. I have seen a big increase of people I have MMed trades for needing to go back and buy a UGC because their accounts were set into negative membership due to a bad upgrade.
