What has happened to EOC trading?

I've been waiting aaaages to get full pernix and zaryte bow.
Still haven't got them. Then I tried to sell my Santa and Blue h'ween, both didn't sell under GE prices, the pernix and zartye are above GE prices and I struggled selling some normal things like yews and mith ore.

On top of that World 2 and other trade worlds are like 1000 people max.

I know it's because of 07, but still.. WTF

 

It's bcz of the upcoming gambling update everyone sells their rares(santas/hweens/phats etc.) to buy more "safe/stable" things or just keep the coins.

 

What's safer than rares? They'll always keep rising.

 

Everyone wants GP I guess, everyone is just in a panic.

 

However runes,ores etc are going up.

 

Everyone is getting GP and either
A) Dumping it on sites like this
B) Gambling
C) Investing in high end rares.

 

Yea somethings up with the market.

 

Lack of activity would most probably arise from the 07 servers...

 

Yes that and fagex's new message regarding flower gambling...

 

The influx of GP over the years has declined the price in the black market to a rate of which most players can afford to buy instead of earn their gold. This creates less demand for items in game, not to mention the gambling which has in-turn brought in billions if not trillions into the game. (Divided among the playerbase of course, and to clarify 'brought into' I mean been sold back and forth/scammed, etc.)

There is currently no sink for all this gold skill-wise so it just sits, not to mention the fact the major majority of players are already high-level, and buying raw materials instead of doing PVM because lets face it PVM doesn't make money anymore unless you can go to KK or solo Nex.

The 07 servers have also had a profound effect on the Runescape market for example in 1 single day Glaivens went from 7.9m to 8.2m to 9.1m then to 10m. This is a significant rise that would've otherwise happened in 3 separate days as opposed to 1 single day.

The current version of Runescape's economy will most likely never recover.

 

It's 2K7, there is no other reason to be honest. People started to panic after it came out thinking that the gold on EoC would greatly drop so they decided to sell their rares.

 

What's the gambling update?

 

I'm assuming lack of activity. I've been trying to buy some Kwuarm pot's unfinished to get my herb up to 70 and they are in at 500gp each over the mid price. Slowly been buying over the past 2 hours, like 30 per 30 mins.

 

Because of the gambling update and the release of 07 there is a flux in EoC everything is going everywhere at this time. I would recommend just holding onto it for now.
