They needa stop trying to break away from the runescape image. RUNESCAPE made them, just focus on it. They should get rid of 07 and stick with eoc. If it wasnt eoc, it woulda been someother thing people were complaining about. Give eoc a try, use legacy, or just skill or quest. Honestly its not terrible u get used to it and it can be fun. Its crazy how much more power rs gives to there players compared to any other game. Yet they still get bullsht lol, i mean not saying i like jagex ik some of em r idiots but really atleast they trying lol if u cant stay loyal wit rs because there trying to innovate but w,e hopefully jagex maakes money cuz i aint tryna have my acc deleted cuz jagex too poor to keep game goin haha.

I think JaGex is kind of stuck. They could try to go back to pre-eoc in RS3 but then they'd lose all of the people who like the new combat system. However, it might bring back a lot of old players. I think their best bet would be a collage of 07 and RS3, keep the updated graphics but also keep it oldschool.

When I was 12 I always imagined RS3 would be first person RuneScape. Same attack style and skilling and everything. Just it would be fullscreen and more immersive. I'm sad that never happened.

 

Wow, I never imagined Runescape in first person. That would indeed be pretty neat. I don't think i would like it any better though.

 

It's a interesting concept and yeah for a couple of days it would be fun. But that isn't runescape is. I liked runescape because of it's shitty graphics , because of it's unique way of playing and freedom to communicate with other players. What runescape is now is a shell of it's old self. They changed the game and ultimately destroyed it.

The fact their profit has dropped to £900,000 from what they were is laughable and completely reflects what they have done to the game. The shutdown of the Transformers game is another unsuccessful attempt , they need to stop focusing on other avenues of success when they had a brilliant success which they squandered. They like Runescape, need to go back to basics.

 

It might be too late for RS. The removal of gambling; The removal of enjoyable pking and the shitty 'updated' graphics have all contributed to the decline in popularity that Jagex is experiencing.

 

What does this mean?

Jagex has abandoned what was supposed to be the successor of Runescape. Transformers Universe was supposed to be the future of Jagex Game Studio. The project will now be scrapped, and aside from any patents or code which can be used in Runescape / other projects, the resources invested in the project are a complete loss.

The bright side is that if Jagex had a slam dunk with Transformers, they would have likely divested from Runescape and transferred many resources into Transformers, leaving Runescape to eventually die. Now, Runescape is not only their sole source of current revenue, but also their sole source of future revenue. Jagex basically is Runescape. Resources will be invested almost entirely in Runescape, and the focus will be on growing the userbase.

This focus on Runescape should ensure that the game remains relevant for the next few years. Jagex simply can't afford to lose Runescape players with nothing else on the horizon.

Runescape itself is an overwhelmingly successful project. The amount of revenue the game has provided since inception is certainly in the hundreds of millions of dollars. Jagex's downfall has not been Runescape, it has been their failure in creating other successful titles. Ultimately, the company can continue in the short and maybe the medium term by relying on Runescape exclusively, but they will certainly fold in the long run if they can't expand into new games.

 

They havent offered $$$ for unban options in a long time as far as I know, and I've never heard of being able to buy old accounts via jagex.

If it is still possible to unban accounts for $, I'd be willing to lay down $1k+ to get an account of mine unbanned considering the gold on it and its stats/history.
