Alot of the people that roleplay in rs and actually dont know anything about black markets would buy this lol. Alot of scapers are to scared to buy gold from players

 

This was very pointless. I bought 40 spins( extra 35) Just because I was up alot of money recently. But I got a ton of lamps, no rares. It was just why not.

 

Jagex has changed alot. The game has shifted from fun-player oriented to more money-oriented. I logged in after years to notice some of the most retarded changes. Having played Runescape for 8 years, I qualified for a veterans cape, yet it is members only. How is being a member relevant to my veteran status? I go to duel a bit, apparently you can stake only like 20k or 40k in free to play? Are you serious? I roll the wheel of fortune, i get 1 spin, while members get 2 spins? Theres been no updates for f2p for ages, no wonder runescape is dying. If a player is not interested from the beginning (f2p), chances are low that they will go further to subscribe.

tldr, jagex is gay.

 

Well I guess the additional spin for members would be kind of expected; If f2p get an update, usually members get the same but with something upgraded. The use of actual money to buy more spins was uncalled for, I agree.

Btw, I don't duel or stake myself or anything, but is the limit still that? I thought it was dropped for everyone when free trade got implemented back into the game.

I was actually going to post something about this.

Jagex might as well say RWT is aloud. By doing this people ARE going to venture out to gold websites and buy when they otherwise would not have before this update.

He got something like 340k xp in skills just from buying the 75 spin package. Someone made a comment that they got somewhere around 600k xp from the package, saying that 340k was actually a worst case scenario. Anyhow, 340k for doing nothing. That is basically saying buying skilling services is legal.

I wonder how much gp was actually made from these 75 spins. Even if its not much its definitely more then a fresh noob should be available to get his hands on.

This is absolutely devastating for the people who hold the top places in the highscores for their total xp. Now extremely rich players can just come along and buy their way to rank 1 when old players who may not be wealthy had to work for it. And Jagex has stated before they don't condone RWT because of the unfair advantage it gives higher income players. Well now thats exactly what they are doing.. creating an unfair advantage for higher income players.

Jagex was actually bought out early January and the new people are probably the ones introducing all of these RWT updates. To be honest I haven't had a wipe in 1, maybe 2 months. The new people probably just don't care. Good for us RWTers ^_^

Does jagex even have a limit on the number of spins you can buy?

It wouldn't be nearly as profitable as you would think. Over time a lot of people would think of these and the supply of these types of accounts would outweigh the demand, making these accounts worth a lot less than they were previously.

How is buying XP (aka buying skilling not done by yourself) not a form of RWT?

Jagex also has said they do approve of gambling. Squeal of fortune is definitely gambling and now to make matters worse, they mingled it with a form of real currency. There are people out there that won't stop buying packages until they get the very rare items because they are addicted to the thrill of gambling.

They try to claim they want to keep their "British culture" but we all know they sold out lol.

Lol he's basically saying the staff don't have to follow rules because they aren't players. He needs to get off his high horse if he isn't trying to somehow weasel his way out of the question he was asked.


Jagex continues to make themselves look like idiots. Their reasoning behind the bot nuke was to give the real players a better game. Now all this "pay pay pay" shit. They lost a lot of money taking away bots so they have to do this. In reality a lot of the real players who are hell bent against botting and RWT will quit when they realize their beloved Jagex is actually RWT.

 

I disagree with it totally but i can see the point that is being made in the video, people who; for example, like us Perhaps have more disposable income it can be advantageous. Like the guy in the video says he earns 140k RC exp in 10-15mins which at ZMI would take 3 hours Playtime. in the 3 hours even at minimum wage £4ish an hour, you could work for 3 hours and spend the money on spins.

The real question is; What would you use your exp lamps on? Summoning/Herblore?

 

Well I have bought 60 and won 3.4k and 12 lamps.

no lucky items/ rares.

 

Everyone copy and pasting this on the RS Forums proves how much of hypocrites Jagex are.

Ok, take Jagex making and promoting the idea out of the equation. Now you still have people 'buying'(RWTing) and getting an unfair advantage. Shouldn't Jagex be collecting and then 'banning' the players then?

Like you said, they are pretty much taking Jagex out of it, yet that still leaves the players(who are vulnerable) buying into the act and actually breaking a rule themselves?

This is starting to get even crazier.

Honestly I'd expected Jagex to do this. To take out rwting by rwting on their site. This is the first step to ease us into the idea of Jagex rwting. It's quite smart, most people would buy from Jagex because their "Trusted". They could easily charge over $1 and they could just spawn it in. Not only that but buying exp could be a possibility. Hell, Runescape might turn just to a pvm and pvp game. Same as Cod and Battlefield.

 

So you guys are saying if you had the option to make a small change to what you daily online to make 100-200$ you wouldnt do it?

Now the example is the same as what jagex is doing. This is just a temporary hype over nothing. Yes they are going agaisnt there own rules or what they stated in the past. But we live in 2012 where every buisness does w/e they can to bring in the most income.
The same people that whine over jagex fucking the game, is the same people that will play the game a day from now or a week from now.
Ye it sucks for people that trained there 99s legit and put in the work, but they did it cause they enjoyed it. Nobody expects a game to be the same forever. Runescape is not forever lol. They general players of Runescape is young, they save up money to buy stuff and Jagex is milking every penny of it.

Good for them and everyone here would have done the same.

Now it doesnt really bother me, If you can afford to buy spins and get lucky then go for it. This is the same as skills being "buyables". You could purchase gold for irl money then buy materials for that gold and in the same way "buy 99s".

 

You forgot to mention '...and for the wealthy irl players who are brainwashed and braindead'. It's still a little pricey and only the ones who can afford the best stuff will be able to stand a chance in the long run, at that rate.

Also, I'm through if it just becomes pvm and pvp. I'm more of a skiller in the game as I don't care much for combat besides questing. Rarely will you ever see me inside a pvp(combat) minigame or the such, unless it is for like a task set or something.
