Jad - How often does he melee?

So I've been trying to get fire cape for awhile, and I always fail on the damn healers! I'm either in the process of luring when I get messed up or I have just lured them and I mess up.

I was thinking of Overload potting near the end of the wave before Jad, attacking him with range until he is ALMOST half HP, switching to claws and spec'ing the hell out of him hoping for the best.

MY QUESTION/S: How often does Jad melee if you are within melee distance? How hard does his melee attack hit?

you are supposed to protect melle, and switch if he does range/magic attack.

 

Ooh ok great, thanks. Any idea on what his max hit is with melee attack?

EDIT: Assuming I don't completely suck (especially overloaded), I SHOULD be able to take down the rest of his HP with 2-3 claw specs I think??

 

yeah im guessing have prot melee on till you hear mage or see range, then switch back

 

Ok here's another tip, don't claw spec straight awAy just rapier or cls or watever until yOu see the healers come out(around half hp) then claw spec. Most of the time it's instant ko.

Melee hits quickly and in between range/mage attack

 

You never pro melee , Always ranged him. Pointless meleeing him when you can safe spot from his melee attacks.

As soon as the healers come Attack all of them so they are attaking you and either continue to kill jad , or kill then an then kill jad.

 

LMFAO you didn't read my post I guess...Somewhere during the healers, I ALWAYS mess up on a prayer and then it goes downhill from there.

There are heaps of vids on youtube of ppl using claws to ko or just meleeing him in general instead of using range, people even kill him with flowers
