    ITunes Vs Youtube

Youtube's audio bit rate is horrible and having such low-fidelity tracks would make my techno-autism boil over. Only the 720p and higher videos have decent audio quality, but not all of the Youtube content is HD-quality. Then there's the issue of tags: Files bought from iTunes or bought from a shop, burned from a cd, pirated, pick your poison have properly tagged song, album and artist names and track numbers. It's a huge pain in the derriere to change all the values to correct ones.

Then, there's the moral issue in downloading copyrighted content, but that belongs in the piracy debate.

The Piracy Debate (SOPA) Is a bunch of extremeists who don't know how to use a keyboard.

I haven't even read the SOPA thread, I assumed it to be full of people herping and derping over everything. We don't really have a piracy debate thread going on, and I hope we won't get one, those are always terrible and I meant that we shouldn't be concerning ourselves much with whether it's right or wrong to download Youtube videos, as it is essentially piracy and would be better discussed in a thread handling piracy in general.

Both options are terrible. Overpriced music vs terrible sound quality?
How about I buy from the artists website directly or just download from torrents? That's more like it.

    Pros & Cons

    Pros Youtube:
Wide Range of Music (Remixes and Original songs that you can't even find on iTunes)
    Do not have to pay

    Cons Youtube:
Qualilty is below average compared to other softwares
Buffering (Which really shouldn't be a problem if you have a good working computer and ISP)

    Pros iTunes:
Supports artist (a lot of people may not care about this, but it does help)
    Better sound qualilty (technically)

    Cons iTunes:
You have to pay (Which really adds up to your wallet, you're spending $150+ on a playlist while you can get it free on Youtube)

YouTube is pretty lame now. If you're on a phone, or an iPod, they filter out some of the videos and leave you with shitty quality live clips.

I either play music from my library on my laptop, or just kick on some FM radio.
