Will my credit card details be taken and used? PLEASE READ

Hi, I have recently deleted like 30 spyware lol.

All of a sudden, my details have been used against me. Email, Sythe and runescape etc.

I'm not sure if they will use my credit card details. The thing is its my mums credit card. When the spyware was supposedly installed, I bought membership on runescape. Will the credit card details be scammed?

By the way, any suggestions to stop this and how to avoid spyware?

Well, were they stored anywhere on your computer? If not, then you should be ok. Although if you had a keylogger then that would easily recorded the credit card being entered in. If you're not sure, then I would probably ring up the bank and order a new card.

 

It was just a normal spyware, but somehow took my Runescape password and Sythe password.
No details were stored, but I can tell my mum that there's someone trying to steal your details.

 

Well, it definitely sounds like a keylogger then if it grabbed your RuneScape and Sythe password. If you entered your card details on that PC, I would advise calling the bank as soon as you can.

 

Call your bank as soon as possible.
Check with them,and take better precautions in the future.
