sorry for the gravedigging but I have some problems when I try to do wifi sync.

 

Syncing is what I can't seem to get to work as well.

 

Well how is it not working?

 

whenever I plug my ipod into the wall and try to sync without it being plugged to my pc, it doesn't sync and disseapear from my itunes list.

 

It seems to be that the music on my iPod came from a computer I no longer use and is jammed full of infections and what have you. When I try to sync it - it doesn't include these tracks from the old computer. I've read about it and apparently I can only put the music from my iPod in to my new PC if I have enabled something on the old PC which is now unused and de-authorised on iTunes. Is there no way whatsoever to keep this music? It's wanting to delete 50% of my albums.

All I want to do is put this new album on my iPod that I bought. Jeez.

 

What's the 'wall'? Not too familiar with Apple terms.

So... you have old music from your old PC, that is on your iPod. But you can't get it off because it wants to sync the music in your library instead?

 

I want everything on my iPod and everything on my iTunes library to be on my iPod. But when I sync it wants to remove all the stuff that's on the old computer.

Just connect your iPod, transfer all your songs off there to a folder on your desktop. Then let your iTunes sync what it wants to sync, then add your old music to your library, and let it sync that. I've done it a few times.

There should be an option somewhere to "only sync selected songs" this way it wont delete your songs already on your ipod. I had the same problem. If i remember it worked for me. This was a while ago and i have not used an ipod in ages.

Will updating iTunes resolve this y'think? Don't want to 'less I have to.

 

Depends on the iOS you use on your idevice.
If it's a new one, defo update.
Should resolve most issues with synching

 

Syncing as always been like this, when you try to sync any ipod of any model, it will delete everything on the iPod and then copy over all the library on the computer you're currently on. What you can do is, disable syncing and manually put the songs into your iPod.
